Meet the Staff
Cindy Couto – Registered Dental Assistant
As a dental assistant, I work closely with Dr. Gire during procedures, taking X-rays and impressions, placing and removing wires and brackets, and generally doing whatever needs done. I believe talking to a patient is the best way to make sure they have a positive experience. It helps build trust and comfort while allowing them to ask any questions that they may have.
I have a big family with my parents, two brothers, a sister-in-law, nieces and nephews, and a boyfriend. I am active in the Portuguese community, and I have done Portuguese folk dancing for seven years. I also enjoy concerts and sports.
Christine Hernandez – Front and Back Office Assistant
I work in many different parts of the office as a scheduling and insurance coordinator and a chairside assistant. It gives me a chance to deal with patients in many different scenarios. I try to have fun with everyone so they will enjoy their visit to our office. The new patients who walk in are always the most exciting, and I can’t wait to hear their stories.
When I am not in the office, I like doing anything adventurous and new. I enjoy watching sports and spending time with my mother and all of my friends.

Elizabeth Hernandez – Dental Assistant
As a dental assistant, I work closely with the doctor, sterilize and clean the operatories, and I am in charge of orthodontic records like photographs and digital X-rays. It makes me proud to work here when I see every patient walk out the door with a big, beautiful new smile. Nothing is more rewarding that giving someone new confidence in themselves.
I enjoy spending time with my parents and three siblings. I also play soccer and volunteer at a senior living home. When I am not in the office, you can often find me shoe shopping! Love high heels!
Valerie Garcia – Administrative Assistant
I get to be a part of every aspect of orthodontics as a dental assistant. The best part of my day is talking with the patients, getting them to share their stories, and making them comfortable with their treatment. Dr. Gire is great to work with. He always makes patients laugh.
I love traveling and seeing new things with my parents and sister. I also have two cats, Bella and Kevin. I stay active by playing softball, and I am in love with Star Wars. My secret wish is to be a Stormtrooper!
Kelly Davis – Administrative Assistant
Patients can find me at the front desk when they walk in the door. As an administrative assistant, I schedule appointments and work with insurance companies as well as sit down with patients to discuss their treatment options. Working with people is the reason I am here, so I make sure to learn everyone’s name and try to hear their stories before they leave.
My husband (Brad) and I just welcomed our first son (Parker) to the world and we're so excited to be new parents! We also have a dog named Miles that keeps us quite entertained and busy as well. I spend my leisure time traveling, scrapbooking, and being a foodie.
Kim Rodriguez – Registered Dental Assistant and Back Office Assistant
As a dental assistant, I am chairside with the doctor during all procedures, taking X-rays and educating patients and their parents on proper oral care. I enjoy sitting down with patients and discussing their treatment in terms they can understand. I strive to ensure that they are comfortable and it establishes a trusting relationship.
I have two sons named Logan and Liam with my husband, Joe. I enjoy cheering Logan on during his baseball and soccer games and rooting for the Angels who are my all-time favorite team.
Nancy Iribe – Administrative Assistant
I am an insurance coordinator, financial coordinator, and treatment coordinator so I make sure our patients get a payment plan and treatment plan that fits their budget. It is wonderful to be part of a patient’s journey to a healthier smile. Dr. Gire makes everyone feel at home and like a part of his own family.
My husband, Carlos, and I have a beautiful daughter named Christine. When I’m not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling, and going to Angels baseball games. I also like running and hope to run a full marathon soon.
Susan Xu – Dental Assistant and Front Office Receptionist
You can find me everywhere in this office! As a dental assistant, I make sure the rooms are set up for procedures, sterilize instruments, and assist the doctor. At the front desk, you can find me checking patients in, organizing paperwork, as well as many other administrative duties. I work hard to educate patients on the best way to care for their new smiles while ensuring that they are well taken care of with regards to their appointments and financial arrangements.
When I am not in the office, I like to curl up with a good book, watch movies, and try out new recipes. Once the snow finally hits, I love snowboarding in the mountains.
